Foxxception LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Jubblee, a financial lifecycle simulation engine. This Data Retention Policy explains how long we retain your personal and financial data, why we retain it, and how you can request deletion of your data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).

2. Data We Collect and Retain

We collect and retain the following categories of data:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, login method, account creation date
  • Financial Data: Bank account balances, transaction history, debt information, bill details, warranty records (obtained through Plaid)
  • Subscription Data: Payment information (processed by Stripe), subscription tier, billing history
  • Usage Data: Log data, device information, IP addresses, feature usage analytics

3. Retention Periods

Active Account Data

Retention Period: Duration of active account + 30 days after account closure

Purpose: Provide core service functionality, financial simulations, and insights

Financial Transaction Data

Retention Period: 7 years from the date of transaction

Purpose: Comply with GLBA recordkeeping requirements and support historical analysis

Payment and Billing Records

Retention Period: 7 years from the date of transaction

Purpose: Tax compliance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution

Usage Logs and Analytics

Retention Period: 90 days

Purpose: Security monitoring, troubleshooting, and service improvement

Backup Data

Retention Period: 30 days in encrypted backups

Purpose: Disaster recovery and data integrity

4. Data Deletion Procedures

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. Here's how we handle deletion requests:

How to Request Deletion

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your Jubblee account
  • Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account and all associated data

Immediate Deletion (Within 30 Days)

  • Account profile information
  • Manually entered financial data (debts, bills, warranties)
  • User preferences and settings
  • Active session tokens

Extended Retention (Legal Requirements)

The following data must be retained for legal compliance even after account deletion:

  • Financial transaction records: 7 years (GLBA requirement)
  • Payment and billing records: 7 years (tax compliance)
  • Fraud prevention records: As required by law

This data is anonymized where possible and stored securely with restricted access.

Plaid Data Deletion

Financial data obtained through Plaid is deleted from our systems within 30 days of account closure. Plaid maintains its own data retention policies, which you can review at plaid.com/legal.

All retained data is protected with industry-standard security measures:

  • Encryption: Data encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3)
